Violent Lies

So the old are happy but the young cry
Born with peace, the gift of life

As the young grow older, is implanted with age
A vision of life, as an act on a stage

In the eyes of peace, the act is abuse
But the young are unsure and unclear of the truth

Again and again they're exposed to violence
Propaganda instilled and accepted in silence

They soon go to school, and become students
Boys and girls become separate units

They're taught what to say, what to wear, how to act
Peace becomes myth and war becomes fact

Boys become soldiers, girls sexual objects
All paying money for government projects

Lonely feelings are being ignored
While guns and ammunition are being stored

The young are now old and the peace is dead
Violent lies running through their heads!
